Ipad and Laptop Portfolios by Kenton Sorenson

Kenton Sorenson produces natural leather and handmade products which age just perfectly. My two favorite items are the Laptop and Ipad portfolios. In the first one, there’s enough room for a laptop, a magazine and some paper work. The price may look a little steep, but this is a piece that you won’t regret buying in a few years time.

Absolut Brooklyn by Spike Lee

Absolut gets together with Spike Lee to design their latest limited edition vodka bottle – ABSOLUT Brooklyn. The bottle features a depiction of a brownstone with the number from Lee’s childhood home in Cobble Hill and bears his name on the bottle.

Each of the city editions of Absolut has a charitable initiative attached, as part of this campaign Absolut is donating $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity to help fund an affordable homes project in Bedford-Stuyvesant

Lost & Found furniture collection by &made

Each piece of &made ‘Lost & Found’ collection has been rescued from the streets and regenerated and produced into furniture. This collection is now available on commission for bespoke order.

This is just a great initiative marrying design and recycling.

Conch and Dieter R6 handmade wallets by Six Eight Seven Six

The final installment of the R6 collection for summer 2010 is the release of two luxury wallets in premium quality vegetable tanned Italian leather. The Conch (zipper wallet) and Dieter (card holder) are hand made in England, are both available in three colours ways with contrast interiors and have quality embossed branding.

What I like the most apart from their quality and colours is the ‘Enjoy without restraint’ notice found in both versions…

After Karl Cola, Dita Perrier

This summer, Perrier teams with “pin-up” model Dita Von Teese for a limited edition “Paparazzi” line. The entire Perrier range (PET and glass bottles, cans and multi-packs) sees a black and silver portrait of Dita printed across their labels. Available June 2010.

Wonder from which one of  the Karl Lagerfeld Cola or Dita Perrier I will take my first sip…

Wallpapered furniture by Bryonie Porter

Loving this idea of wallpapering furniture.

Bryonie Porter creates these beautiful papered pieces using wallpaper on antique and modern furniture. Using a water-based (environmentally friendly high gloss laquer) she transforms sometimes humdrum pieces into stunning works of art.

Wallpaper used on this pic is by Timorous Beasties, a studio I have already blogged about a while back.

Curious cufflinks by Samuel Gassmann

Samuel Gassmann is better known for being a curator and an art consultant. Fewer know that he is also a designer since last Autumn as he has launched a collection of cufflinks. Most of his collection comprises either a simple disc, ‘cabochon’ or button but what varies the most are the special materials, embellishments and colours.

For instance, the ‘Circumstance’ selection features rare materials — ivory, French jet or coral — discovered mostly at Paris flea markets such as porcelain cabochons made using original ancient fèves.
